Finally got my VGA :)

I’ve been away from my blog for far too long now. I’ve been waiting for my VGA for 4 weeks or so. (After I ordered it.) And finally I got it. I should have written this a week ago, but as any game addict, I installed some of the resent games and started playing them. All I can say about it.. “OMG”

First things first. I bought an Asus EN8800GT (512MB) VGA card. This is PCI-E 2 and DDR 3 supported card, which has the G92 GPU core.

First of all i must apologize to niro for been too late for this post. And also must say this is a great idea of him to get the sri lankan bloggers to gather under one roof.. well in this case, site.  Just visit the site here and see for your self. Niro is doing what he does best, and hope its not at a high price. (Do the ebay first man, cuz i wan2 buy a vga )

I read a little criticisms about the site a little while ago, and i must say to the guy who wrote it, when it comes to the web never criticize another person you know nothing of. Becouse in the www you never know who you would meet. Luckily for you this time it was niro.

My new com and my gaming life..

Hey guys.. placement sure sucks. Working is no fun at all, it seems. Not to mention the nice traffic in Colombo. It takes roughly about one and half hours to go 2 work, and another 1 1/2 to get back. A total of 2-3 hours per day. Add 9 hours of work (Well actually about 8 1/2 ) That leads to a total of 12 hours max. So if I take 8 hours of sleep (I need my sleep alot), that leaves around 4 left for my self.. Been a Sri lankan really sucks. But then again, its not like i have much of a choice. lol..

Well enough about that. This post is about my new com and my new currier choice.

Zeitgeist

Do you believe that when all terrorists are gone, when all criminals are in jail that we ll have a better world, a safe world? How to create your own webcam feed

To day I’m going to show you all how to create a a cheap web cam feed from machine. This is quite easy to do if you follow the steps.

First of all I’ll start with the media servers. In oder to broad cast your video (any type) you need to have a media server which is the one which actually broad casts the video feed. For that you have various sorts of media servers. For example - Flash media server for flash video streaming, Helix server for real media streaming, Windows media encoder (acts both as server and encoder) for windows media player and so forth. from the above list the only thing which come in a truly low price is the WME (Windows media encoder). And the Flash media server costs around 7000$ (if you willing to pay that much can you send me a copy as well .

But since Microsoft is Microsoft, I’ll be using a separate media server, called the VLC media server. (all of you know VLC right? If not, you are either new to the internet or you are too old to use a com ) For those who doesn’t know about VLC, its completely free, reliable and is easy to work with. When installing make sure you install the Firefox plug in for VLC. All you have to do is to check the tick for installing Firefox plug in.

Evan Almighty

Hi all. Thought of keeping little tabs on movies and all. This is about a guy named Evan Baxter (played by Steve Carell) bulding an ark under god’s (non other than the famous Morgan Freeman - the perfect choice for god it seems ) instructions. This is a good movie with a lot of love, humor and fun all mixed in to one. Better than i expected i must say .

Long time no see…

Hey guys.. Been aways from blogging for a while. Started my placement and work there kind of makes me mushy inside. Some of you might know ( ) that im not much of a fan of the term work. Any way “im back baby.. yahh..”

Another season of heroes floods the world and what a promising new season it seems to be. New people with new abilities and a new story to to guide them. The them for this story seems to be stoping the 8 deaths (so far..). A new villain ( or villains ) apart from syler might make things interesting. If you look at some of the famous sci-fi movies and you might notice most of them had villain with electricity sparking out ( star wars - darth sidious, fantastic four - victor von doom ) which usually represent brute power. This makes me wonder if they’ll have a electric guy? But then a again its sooo old fashion and considering the creators ideas ( who would have ever thought Kenzi would be a western guy?? ) its so hard to predict any thin now. hehehe.. This season sure has its funny side. ( “You look like a fish when you talk..” )

Time traveling - my side of the story

Ah.. Finally.. _{­­­­}The exams are over for this year, but we still have that imagine cup project. I’ve been planning to write this post 4 quite a while now, but Small Ville seems to have a “captivating” effect on me. LOL.. Now to some serious stuff.

Basically this is my point of view about time travel and its effects. Almost all of the time traveling stories (non freaky), including Heroes and some resent tv series speaks of dilemma were time is considered as a flowing river. If the flowing path is blocked time takes on another route. The following image will explain clearly. If P1 is the original time path and E1 event changes it (such as stopping the explosion in Heroes ) the new time line will take to P2 path.

Funny side of heroes…

The following just shows you that one should never be in a hurry to make something. Just look at the swords… Both of these images are sequential. The only explanation is that Hiro stopped time and changed the way he held the sword.

The writers did say that Hiro would have a relationship with some one in season two..
